Through all this, I hadn't got round to mentioning
The Butcher, eating glass, the Flu,
The Italian, an old psychic vampire,
a physical assault, an old woman
too early in the morning, sitting on the beach

All unnerving. So, if something happens to me
it wasn't The Butcher. (I might have considered it,
if it were wartime) neither was it the psychic vampire,
nor the physical assault, and less likely it becomes
that it was either the glass, or the flu,

loiters, end of the corridor - he's got my laptop
and you will be thinking it was just another robbery.
